Let me introduce you to...

Sequoia
Sol,

the owner, founder, and visionary behind the one and only

Art Eye Choke

When asked about her brand, Sequoia will tell you how it is comprised of a mulitude of things, all tied together with a few core themes:

  1. Her love of creating funky, eclectic art
  2. Her passion for functional sustainability
  3. Her unyeilding whimsy

She refuses to put her creativity in a box, and instead chooses to live by the moto:

"Why choose when you can have both?"

Whether Sequoia is making clothing, jewelry, lamps, sculptures, or whatever else her heart desires, the common thread is the use of repurposed and upcycled materials.

Her work goes beyond mere repurposing. Instead of forcing materials into predetermined shapes, she takes a holistic approach, examining the material’s past, present, and future.

"I try to let the material tell me what it wants to be...

....let it's past form be the guide to it's future form"

This material-led approach keeps her eyes wide open to the ever-changing possibilities that life presents.

Working from her studio space in Tacoma, Washington, Sequoia pounces on these possibilities (kinda like she does when eating
dandelions) and uses them to create slow fashion pieces that are...
